“Mummy, everyone liked my dress.”

One mother told us that after Rosh Hashono, her daughters came home glowing.

They had worn dresses received through the Clothes Bank.

People had complimented them.

One of the girls could not stop talking about it.

For those children, it was not simply a dress.

It was the feeling of walking into Yom Tov proudly.

Of feeling just like everybody else.

Of not knowing that Mum had been worrying about whether she could afford something special for them.

And for their mother, the moment was summed up beautifully:

“2 happy girls and one very happy mother.”

That one sentence says so much.

Because this is what support becomes when it reaches a family.

Not just food.

Not just clothing.

Dignity. Normality. Relief. Joy.

A child enjoying a proper Yom Tov meal.

A mother breathing a little easier.

Two girls feeling beautiful and proud on Rosh Hashono.

These are the quiet moments behind the parcels, the boxes and the distributions.

And these are the moments your partnership makes possible.

As we now head towards Sukkot, we simply want to say:

Thank you for being part of this.

Thank you for helping us make Yom Tov feel like Yom Tov for local families.

Wishing you and your family a beautiful, joyful and uplifting Sukkot, filled with bracha, simcha, good health, nachas and only good news.

With heartfelt gratitude,

L’Chaim Foodbank Team
